FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
April 22, 2026
Mound, Minnesota
The Reel LiveWell App and the Classic Bass Champions Tour are proud to announce significant updates and new features ahead of the 2026 fishing season, including the launch of the Reel LiveWell Pro Membership.
Originally developed over the past decade as a solution for hosting Catch, Weigh, Release tournament formats, the Reel LiveWell App was built to support the growing needs of the Classic Bass Champions Tour after other platforms proved unreliable. As the Champions Tour expanded, so did adoption of the app, with numerous organizations—including youth fishing programs across Minnesota—embracing the platform to manage their own events.
Following years of development and refinement, the Reel LiveWell App has become a central component of the Champions Tour experience. Now, heading into 2026, the platform is poised for its most significant evolution yet.
“The past few years with the Reel LiveWell App have been strong,” said owner Dane Vocelka. “We’ve built a solid foundation as a data input tool, but we also recognized there was a lot of untapped potential. This next phase is about unlocking that and creating more value for anglers, fans, and the next generation of the sport.”
Introducing the Reel LiveWell Pro Membership
The newly introduced Pro Membership is designed to enhance the user experience by offering expanded access to educational content, exclusive media, and interactive features within the app.
“With the Pro Membership, users can dive deeper into the sport of fishing and learn directly from our 50 Champions Tour pros who are willing to share their knowledge,” Vocelka explained. “We’re building a video vault that includes educational seminars, along with limited live, on-the-water coverage from anglers who choose to stream their tournaments.”
Pro Members will gain access to:
- Exclusive seminar-style content from Champions Tour professionals
- A centralized video library, including content linked directly from anglers’ personal platforms
- Live-streamed tournament coverage from participating anglers
- Enhanced in-app features designed to educate and engage users
Importantly, all existing features of the Reel LiveWell App will remain available. Fans will continue to have access to live leaderboards, event coverage, and official Champions Tour media, ensuring continuity for current users.
Participation in Champions Tour events, as well as hosting tournaments through the platform, will now require a Pro Membership. The membership is available for an annual fee of $9.99.
New Digital Derbies Presented by Thorne Bros
In addition to the Pro Membership, the Classic Bass Champions Tour is introducing a new interactive competition format: Digital Derbies, presented by Thorne Bros.
“These Digital Derbies are designed to connect our community between major events,” said Vocelka. “They give anglers of all levels a chance to compete, engage with the app, and apply what they’re learning from our pros.”
Digital Derbies will:
- Be free to enter for all Pro Member
- Run in week-long formats, typically from Saturday through Friday
- Feature rotating formats, including “Biggest 8 Fish,” “Biggest Bass,” and multi-species challenges
- Top 10 participants each week will be in a random drawing for prize packages from Champions Tour sponsors
The first Digital Derby is scheduled to begin on Saturday, April 25, and will run through Friday, May 1.

Looking Ahead to the 2026 Season
Anglers and fans are encouraged to sign up for the Reel LiveWell App and secure their Pro Membership ahead of the upcoming season.
The 2026 Classic Bass Champions Tour will officially kick off on Lake Mille Lacs on Tuesday, May 12.
With new features, expanded content, and increased opportunities for engagement, the Reel LiveWell App continues to evolve as a premier platform for competitive fishing and community connection.
