Classic Bass Champions Tour Adds Second Walleye Event to 2026 Schedule on Gull Lake
50-Boat Field Set for September 22nd Event Featuring $15,000 Top Prize and Champions Tour’s Catch, Weigh, Release Format

The Classic Bass Champions Tour, Presented by Skeeter Boats and Yamaha, is excited to announce the addition of a second walleye event to the 2026 Champions Tour schedule. The event is set for Tuesday, September 22nd, on Gull Lake in the Brainerd Lakes Area.
The Gull Lake event will feature a 50-boat maximum field and a $1,000 entry fee. With a full field, the top-finishing individual will take home $15,000, providing walleye anglers another opportunity to compete for a significant payday on one of Minnesota’s most renowned multi-species fisheries.
Following the success of the Champions Tour’s walleye event on Lake Mille Lacs earlier this year, the Tour is excited to continue expanding opportunities for walleye anglers to experience competitive fishing through its unique Catch, Weigh, Release format. Utilizing the Reel LiveWell App, anglers will digitally document their catches throughout the event, allowing fish to be weighed and immediately released back into the lake. The format provides a competitive tournament experience while prioritizing the conservation and health of the fishery.
The addition of Gull Lake gives walleye anglers another opportunity to compete in the Champions Tour format in 2026 and further establishes the Tour as a destination for anglers looking for a competitive, conservation focused tournament experience.
Registration for the 2026 Gull Lake Walleye Event will open Monday, August 3rd at 12:00 PM (CST). With the field capped at 50 boats, anglers are encouraged to register early to secure their spot.
