Vocelka Takes Reigns of the Classic Bass Champions Tour

Dane Vocelka Set to Take Ownership of Classic Bass and the Champions Tour Bass Tournament Circuit Beginning in 2025

The Champions Tour, the Midwest’s most exciting and prestigious bass tournament trail, is excited to announce that Champions Tour angler, Dane Vocelka, and owner of Vocelka Fishing and Customs will take ownership of Classic Bass in 2025.

Vocelka will carry on the vision of growing the sport of competitive bass fishing through Classic Bass, the Champions Tour, and the Reel LiveWell App.

2023 East/west Rush Championship

“It has been an absolute pleasure to get to know Dane over the past several years,” said Scott Bonnema, Founder of the Champions Tour, and current owner of Classic Bass.  “Not only is he a phenomenal fishing rod builder and savvy businessman, he’s an outstanding individual who has the enthusiasm, drive and dedication to further grow the Champions Tour.”

Since the Champions Tour first began in 2017, it has provided tournament anglers across the Midwest with a platform to showcase their bass fishing skills and given them a media outlet to promote themselves and their sponsors.

“I couldn’t be more excited for this new chapter in my life,” said Vocelka.  “This decision is one that I have thought about for a long time, and my wife and family are behind this 100 percent.  I know the amount of energy, effort and passion that Scott has put into making the Champions Tour what it is today.”

“I have the utmost confidence that Dane will take the Champions Tour and do great things with it,” said Bonnema.  “It has been an honor to work with the entire Champions Tour team, sponsors, and anglers over these last seven years.”
