“The MLSA is very excited to be able to offer anglers of all ages and skill levels the opportunity to participate in this exciting fishing tournament that allows a multitude of anglers to walk away with some cash and prizes,” said Jason Schade, President of the Mille Lacs Smallmouth Alliance.

The event will begin at 7:00 am and conclude at 3:00 pm, with the biggest three smallmouth bass each hour taking home cash and prizes, along with the top-five biggest smallmouth of the day taking home awards as well.

Anglers can begin fishing at 7:00 am and submit one smallmouth per hour to be eligible for the hourly big bass awards.  All fish catches will need to be submitted by 3:00 pm for the final hourly payouts, along with the overall day’s big bass payouts.  All competitors will be entering in their fish catches into the Reel LiveWell App.  This will allow the competitors and the public to follow along and see the exciting smallmouth action unfold on Lake Mille Lacs.

“An event like this on Mille Lacs is only possible because of the use of the Reel LiveWell App,” said Scott Bonnema, Owner of the Champions Tour, and the Reel LiveWell.  “It allows the anglers to catch some of the incredible smallmouth Mille Lacs has, enter the length into the App, along with two fish photos, hit submit and then release that smallmouth back into the lake…a truly great way to enjoy and preserve the fishery.”

There will be an adult and youth division (16 years old and younger), with a $40 and $25 entry fee, respectively.  If the competing angler is not a member of the MLSA, their entry fee will include a complimentary yearlong membership to the MLSA.

More details of the Bronzeback Big Bass Classic, including the cash payouts, prizes that anglers can win, along with the registration form will be on the MLSA website, https://millelacssmallmouthalliance.com/ .
