The following is an update from Jim DaRosa and the Mille Lacs Smallmouth Alliance regarding the previously scheduled Big Bass Challenge tournament.
“As a non-profit organization, The Mille Lacs Smallmouth Alliance’s has the mission of preserving, protecting and promoting the smallmouth bass fishery of Mille Lacs. To do this, we had planned and had high hopes that the first annual Free the Fighter Team Big Bass Challenge, but due to unknown scheduling conflicts and a late start on marketing the event, the response and level of participation, was much less than we had hoped for.
Due to this, we unfortunately have decided to reschedule the Free the Fighter Team Big Bass Challenge to the spring of 2019. This will allow us at the MLSA to promote and market the event to its fullest potential. This will also allow us to bring the full field of anglers together to help raise funds to preserve, protect and educate others about this world class trophy smallmouth bass fishery.
All anglers that have submitted their entry forms with payment will receive a full refund promptly.
Please stay tuned to the Mille Lacs Smallmouth Alliance Facebook page and our web site www.MilleLacsSmallmouthAlliance.com as we will announce a date for the tournament, but will be looking to hold it in May of 2019.
Thank you again for your support of the Mille Lacs Smallmouth Alliance. We look forward to working with Classic Bass and all our very supportive partners to produce a first class event that we can all be proud of.”
